GBSG:

The Global Business Systems Group (GBSG) consists of 10 team members, and is responsible for key areas such as, the analysis of new projects and development, master data configuration, helpdesk and support, reporting, business system maintenance and process implementation that supports compliance and the optimization of operational resources. In addition, the group has a .net development team, responsible for the development of integration components and custom development.

The group supports Epicor and its associated applications and technologies, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other back-office technology. The group reports into the Director of Global Business Systems, who has direct reporting to the VP of Global Operations.

 

The Job

The position of GBSG Support Engineer is to support our growing GBSG team in the Dublin office.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level application support for all applications that GBSG support.
  • Liaise with internal customers to clearly define issues and provide first-level resolution support.
  • Record, track and document the service desk requests, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
  • Administer new users and user amendments
  • Provide back-up for Dynamics CRM & other applications
  • Provide assistance with data coordination
  • Create and update procedural documentation
  • Any other duties

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of GUI controls/components
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

 

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • 2 years+ experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with Epicor 9 ERP software would be an advantage
  • Relational database experience
  • Microsoft SharePoint experience
  • Crystal Reports experience

 

Education and Qualifications:

3rd level diploma/degree in relevant discipline, e.g. Computer Science
