In just 13 months with Globoforce, Quintiles increased recognition four-fold while reducing the cost per award by half. New hire retention rates are incredibly high at 86%. Overall retention is 90% or higher.
Vice President, Human Resources
Strategic recognition from Globoforce helped Quintiles achieve 90% and higher employee retention through values-based recognition of 23,000 employees in 59 countries.
Employee survey scores indicated only 63% of employees felt their direct manager or supervisor recognized them for good work. With employee turnover rates higher than its goal, Quintiles also needed to increase retention of highly skilled, hard to find employees.
The Globoforce-powered “Work Worth Doing” recognition program lets managers and peers recognize behaviors consistent with organizational goals and reward individuals for exceptional work and performance for all global employees, fostering a new culture of shared success, engagement, and appreciation.
Soon after launch, employees reported managers were doing a much better job of recognizing their efforts. Retention rates also soared, increasing 13% with an overall retention rate of 90%+ percent. Quintiles achieved all of this by increasing employee recognition four-fold while reducing the cost per award by half.
In the webinar "Increasing Retention through Recognition at Quinitiles", Quintiles explains how they increased retention 13% by increasing employee recognition and rewards four-fold while cutting program costs by half. Watch it here.
