CHALLENGE

Employee survey scores indicated only 63% of employees felt their direct manager or supervisor recognized them for good work. With employee turnover rates higher than its goal, Quintiles also needed to increase retention of highly skilled, hard to find employees.

RESULTS

Soon after launch, employees reported managers were doing a much better job of recognizing their efforts. Retention rates also soared, increasing 13% with an overall retention rate of 90%+ percent. Quintiles achieved all of this by increasing employee recognition four-fold while reducing the cost per award by half.
